Located in the beautiful northern California Sierra foothills, SMC is a non-profit, Federally Qualified Community Health Center located 20 minutes west of Lassen National Park and approximately 30 miles east of Redding.

Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine

Current and valid licensure to practice medicine in the State of California.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Primary Care, Family Practice, or Internal Medicine.
Current DEA certificate.
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Complete patient charting and billing within 48 hours of patient visit.
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Basic computer knowledge with electronic health records experience preferred.

Work as an integral part of our provider staff by participating in our medical/behavioral health team, QA/QI, and specialty staff teams. Responsibilities also include supervision of PA/NP staff and medical trainees. You will provide and manage direct patient care for patients of all ages. Our experienced support team will assist you in assuring the adequacy and appropriateness of care provided.
This position is based at Shingletown Medical Center (SMC), a Federally Qualified Health Center located in the scenic western Sierra region of Northern California. Shingletown is nestled along CA State Route 44 near Mount Lassen.
